I recently purchased the Storm 2890. Two days after, we got 5 inches of snow with a layer of ice and sleet on top. I attempted to blow this mix, but it was like concrete. The blower tried to tackle it, but was not too successful. One thing I noticed was the tires slipping not just on the ice, but on grassy surfaces also. My previous blower had rubber wheels with deep tread and it never acted this way. The blower also used an entire (1 gal) of gas. I thought that was excessive for the time it was running. Everything else worked well. The electric start is great once you choke and prime properly. The slowest speed is still pretty fast, I would have liked it to be a little slower. I think the lowest speed should be just past a crawl. The price was great. I bought it out of stock and it was delivered quickly. Over all, I like the machine and look forward to years of use with it. It seems to be well built.
