Great mower! Best clean cut I’ve seen from a mower. Very solid and easy to use. Wish it came with arms and an hour gage but other than that there are no complaints. Cub cadet has built one amazing zero turn. Thank you!
Excellent product does its job. Totally worth the price.
Good mower. Cuts my 1 acre yard very well. Transmissions are smooth. Would be 5 stars but some cheapness is noted, like the logo on back of seat peeling off only after a few days of ownership, (kept in shed out of rain). I've cut my lawn several times now and it works well.
Pros:
1: The deck heightening, love the turn-knob with numbers I can see well. (wish went to 5")
2: The fabricated deck seems very sturdy.
3: Kawasaki engine!
4: Comfortable seat.
Cons:
1: Right side is too slow, have to pull back left side to match right to go straight but goes way under 7mph at straightaway, have to have a tech adjust things or will send back under warrantee
2: Seat adjustment needs tools. What? c'mon.
3: Too much excursion of control bars; have to really reach way forward to go top speed
Overall: This is a great mower and I'm overall very satisfied with how it mows. I had purchased a 2023 Gravely ZTX 42 but, despite a lot more bells/whistles, the mower function was awful. I sold it and with the $ got a new 2024 Cub ZT1 42 fab and big difference in the mower working A LOT better. I highly recommend not getting any zero mower from a big box store as they're stored outside and also not necessarily set up right. I always get ZT mower from dealer so they can adjust as needed. The Cub Cadet logo on back of seat is peeling off by itself after only days of having it. I'd like to see an adjustable seat that does NOT require tools. You have to lift the seat forward to see the gas in tank but that's no big deal to me at all. This ZT1 42 fab mower's tires also does not tear up my lawn like the Gravely did b/c the transmissions are a LOT smoother and not jerky etc. I was skeptical with the Cub being a bit lower in price but, gotta say, it's good. The frame feels VERY solid and strong. There's never any belt noise at all. The mower functioning works really well. The cup holder is deep so it holds your beverage. I would've preferred to not have to pay the dealer to put an hour counter in but at least it wasn't much to do.
Great unit and fabricated deck was well worth it! Very comfortable at all speeds with great consistent cut.
Love this mower! Being able to have the added durability of a fabricated deck and the Kawasaki engine were well worth the $200 difference to the other 42 inch zt1
Great cut, easy to handle. Precision turning with mulching attachments
